Kylie Finnell, formerly Kylie Purves, got her start in the legal field working her way through college as a legal assistant at a busy Dallas area asbestos personal injury law firm. Inspired by helping injured workers seek justice against some of the biggest chemical companies and refineries in the world, she went to law school at the University of Houston Law Center where she participated in several programs that offered free legal services to people in need. She served as court assigned mediator in dozens of cases involving consumer disputes, landlord/tenant disputes and breach of contract cases and won her first trial against a lawyer for the federal government while she was still a second-year law student.
After graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 2003, Kylie moved to Kitsap County where she worked in Port Orchard for ten years representing injured people in personal injury cases and working as a public defender in municipal, district, and superior courts. She then went into public service, first for the City of Poulsbo where she started the “in-house” prosecution program and then for the City of Bremerton where she advised city officials and handled Bremerton’s civil litigation and code enforcement.
Kylie joined the firm in 2019 and was made a partner in 2020. She represents government entities, property owners, businesses, and injured people seeking justice. She is an experienced trial attorney and admitted to practice in all Washington Courts and Federal Court for the Western District of Washington.
